I picked up my 5-year-old from school today.
Somewhere along the way of my parenting years, I was never informed that kids who turn five suddenly get a boost in the confidence department.
Here's today's conversation during the drive home:
Me: Hey, Buddy. I see you in the mirror.Hayden: Mommmmmmmm. Why are you looking at me?Me: Because I think you're cute.Hayden: Look, Mom. I'm not cute.Me: Yes, you are.Hayden: No, I'm NOT...I'm COOL.Who turns down cute?
